Employee Engagement Activities

Employee engagement activities need to be something that works for a high percentage of employees, because you will never get something that will work for everybody. Whether it’s going to be a holiday party, a bowling activity night, etc.  There are so many different things that you can do as employee engagement activities.

Employee Engagement ActivitiesI used to work for Circuit City back in the early 1980’s. That was when Circuit City was closed on Tuesdays, corporate-wide.  It was their slowest day of the week so there was no reason to open up the store.  Once a year, the company had this enormous party for the employees in the region on a Tuesday as an engagement activity.

Whether it’s a party,  all-hands meetings with recognition, or healthy competition, do things that are going to engage employees and give them a sense of belonging and appreciation.  Employee engagement is about raising everyone up, increasing morale and encouraging comradeship.
